This role is intended as a support role in which the Mystic provides the essential buffs and debuff a support role is expected and provides a high volume of damage as well. This role does not have healing or all of the Mystic abilities however it is a very easy spec to play as it provides the damage of Dervish abilities.

The Build and Key Decisions

This role is not often played in raids for one simple reason and that is because Archon is considered a superior support class to all others and the only one capable of providing the abilities. This guides just provides a build and how to play this role and leaves debate up to the community.

It is a relatively simple rotation used to play and is much simpler than any other classes support role. It provides a Primal Avatar; Raid Buffs and a set of bonuses provided by Bind Life/Air Lash thatre described below in that order.

Primal Avatar: Wind Serpent
Channel your Primal Avatar, increasing your damage dealt by 60%, increasing your range with melee and Dervish abilities to 35m, and reducing your cast times to 0. Every 10 seconds you lose 10% of this damage bonus. Lasts 60s. Grants Full Cunning.

 

Mystic – Dervish Raid Benefits
Aerial Boon Increases party and raid member Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence Attack Power and Spell Power for 30s
Hurricane Breach Increases Physical damage the target takes by 5% and non Physical damage the target takes by 7%. Lasts 30s.
Hastening Vigor Decreases cast time and auto attack delay of raid and party members by 16%. Lasts 30s. 
Living Armor Deals 14961 to 15263 Life damage. Increases Resistances of raid and party members by 30 and Armor of raid and party members by 30. Lasts 30s. 
Piling On  Causes the enemy to take an additional 1900 Physical damage when hit. Each attacker may trigger this once every 3s. Lasts 20s.
Tailwind Increases your movement speed by 15% and stacks twice. Lasts 30s
Uplift  Increases party and raid member Damage by 15%. Lasts 40s

Bind Life Has a chance o reset cast time of Hastening Vigor

Dervish 21 – Mystic 18 – Maelstrom – 0 at Magelo
Each Point Increases damage done by 2%

 Mystic is the core soul of this build even with less points than Dervish. We do sacrifice two abilities on the bottom of the tree however.  It. This build takes 21 points in Dervish to obtain the Avatar which is where the high damage comes from. Dervish also gives us our hardest hitting abilities: Seismic Smash and  Aircutter. Maelstrom rounds this off, like almost every single other Primalist build with a Scald legendary.

Pros and Cons of an Dervish-Predator

  • Almost all the support of Mystic
  • Uplift is comparable is 40 second/1 minute
  • Very good, if not the best damage output by a support class
  • Lacks any real heals or a battle rez
  • This support is not an Archon, so many people refuse may refuse your offers to play this
  • Damage Variant support class are a niche role.
